Conservacion Patagonica IDIOMA: ESPAÑOL

Volunteer Program

For nearly a decade, volunteers from all over the world have lent a hand in Conservacion Patagonica's initiative to create the future Patagonia National Park. Volunteers have removed 450 km of fencing, countless exotic plants, and assisted in the creation of the region’s first Darwin’s Rhea Conservation Center. As this project has progressed, the volunteer efforts have evolved to tackle new challenges and to contribute valuable expertise.

At this time our only consistent volunteer program is the Organic Garden Volunteer program. Sessions will operate in 22-day and 42-day sessions. More information here. Applications will be accepted starting in April 2017. As specific needs arise, we will be looking for volunteers to work in the backcountry of the park, based at the outposts of our various park wardens, assisting in our wildlife monitoring, and rehabilitation programs. These specific positions will be posted on this page as needs arise.

Volunteers doing field work

As a recent volunteer puts it:

“The weeks flew by faster than I could have imagined. When it came time to leave the estancia, I realized how unique an experience I had enjoyed. I was able to help with the formation of a national park that will contribute significantly to the conservation of vital ecosystems. I was lucky enough to work in stunningly beautiful landscapes every day. I made friends and practiced a foreign language. Most meaningfully, I formed a connection to the land, the people, and the culture of Patagonia.”

We look forward to welcoming a new generation of volunteers to the park during the 2017-2018 season. Please consider these opportunities to contribute to this important work.
